2020 CPI(Cultural Partnership Initiative) Application Notice

Dear INKSLIB Members,

I would like to inform you on the Cultural Partnership Initiative(CPI), Education and Training Program for Overseas Librarians.

We are planning to provide this year’s CPI training to four librarians from four different countries which have close relations with the National Library of Korea.

In this context, we would like your library to recommend a candidate who is a qualified librarian interested in visiting Korea and joining the program. The application deadline is June 14, 2020.

Once all applications are submitted, there will be an evaluation process and the 4 final participants will be selected among applicants from different libraries.

We sincerely believe that participants will benefit from this valuable occasion to learn Korean culture and language.

The program will also be an opportunity to exchange professional knowledge and experiences with fellow librarians from other countries.

To apply to CPI Education and Training Program for Overseas Librarians, please refer to the following documents in the attachment:

1. Letter of CPI Introduction (this document)

2. Application guideline

3. Application form

However, all schedule can be adjusted/changed due to the situation with COVID-19 in Korea and foreign countries. If it is considered impossible to run the CPI program this year, those selected for 2020 will participate in 2021 CPI program.

CPI participants are selected on the basis of submitted documents and telephone interview. At the end of June, we will notify applicants selected as CPI participants and inform whether or not 2020 CPI program will be held.

We look forward to hearing from you soon.

Submission Deadline: June 14, 2020
